Ciao di Italia!
Well, not quite yet. Bad weather in Atlanta has thrown our travel schedule WAY off! After a miserable 4 hours sitting in the plane on the tarmac in Austin followed by 18 hours stranded in Atlanta, we're now scheduled to arrive in Rome tomorrow morning, basically losing a whole vacation day. :( So we're pretty bummed. Please send your prayers and positive thoughts that the rest of the trip goes smoothly!
So anyway, what else to report? Last weekend we had Geoff and Lisa in town to visit. We didn't do much exciting... Natalie competed in a dance competition with some of the Bat Girls Saturday night and they did really well. The rest of the weekend we just spent hanging out and catching up. We did get a chance to get the boat out for a cruise on Lake Austin but we're obviously still in preseason - it was chilly!!
Weekend before last, Natalie headed to Mad Island for a volunteer workday to do some trail clearing. She had a wonderful time but managed to pick up some poison ivy that is still plaguing her two weeks later! Richie headed down to Houston with his indoor volleyball team, where they played well but lost in the finals.
Okay, I think that brings us about up to date (and anyway, it's about time to go catch our flight).
Edited to add:
Oops, I guess I lost a few things between posts! Like Easter weekend in Houston, complete with a GCVA tournament in Galveston, an evening out with the Katy gang, a first meeting with Courtney and Spence's new daughter Bailey, and Sunday dinner with the D's. Like the engagement party we hosted for Brad and Amanda first weekend of April. Like that Brad and Amanda are settling into their new home. And that we finished up our softball season (well, our portion at least - our teammates will play two makeup games while we're gone!). Okay, that's really it. Carry on!
