Yes, we're still alive! ;)

Let's see, what've we been up to since I was here last?

The past couple of weekends we've been out at the lake... weekend before last we spent Saturday at Muleshoe Bend park with Peter, Chris, Viet, Kendra, Ramsey, Brad and Amanda. Natalie got to try out a new ("performance") slalom ski Richie had found on clearance and it was awesome. Makes her look like she knows what she's doing! ;) Saturday night, Nat and Chris met Brad and Amanda at Saxon Pub to see Guy Forsyth play. On Sunday we all slept in too late to head back to the lake so instead we went out to lunch and then to Austin Park 'n' Pizza to practice our swings in the batting cages and play video games and stuff before everyone had to head back home.

Last weekend, we were at the lake again but with a different crew. Lisa came into town Friday night and she and Natalie hit their favorite country dance spot for some two-stepping. We headed out to Lisa's lakehouse Saturday morning and Chris met us out there. It was a really nice day on the lake until Natalie got a call from work and had to head back into town for a few hours to take care of that. (How come the cell phone would work for that ONE call when it wouldn't work the rest of the weekend? =( ) But she made it back out to the lakehouse in time for dinner and a relaxing evening playing cards. We were up relatively early and back out on the lake on Sunday. We even got in a boat ride down to Shades for yummy nachos and 'ritas. But the highlight of the weekend was trying out Richie's new toy - a "wakeskate"! It's like a wakeboard except without the bindings so riding it is more like riding a skateboard. You can't get as much air but it hurts a lot less when you fall off! :)

And how 'bout them Ags? 27-6 over #25 ranked Clemson!! Maybe the season won't be a wash after all. Too bad it wasn't on TV! Next up, beat the hell out of K-State!

This week's been a busy one too... even more so since both of us have been busier at workNatalie had Book Club on Monday night, Wednesday night Natalie met Brad and Amanda at Hills Cafe to see Ray Wylie Hubbard and Richie had volleyball practice. Last night, we celebrated our 2.5 year anniversary by taking the boat out on Lake Austin and to dinner at Hula Hut.

Hello out there and TGIF!

Our biggest news is that we just got back from our big backpacking trip to Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming (a Christmas gift from Natalie's Dad). It would take too much blog space to go into detail here, but go read our trip report for a recap and lots of pictures. It was a spectacular trip!

Besides that, not a whole lot going on.... Natalie recently got promoted from a cubicle to her very own office at work so she's excited about that. About the same time, Richie's company moved buildings and his office situation was also improved. So we're both sitting pretty at work! ;)

Speaking of work, Richie's been had a couple of opportunities to get on out on the lake for wakeboard practice in the mornings before work... with his BOSS! No fair! :)

In non-work news, Natalie was summoned for jury duty on Tuesday morning, but was quickly excused because she lives in the wrong county (we live in Williamson County but City of Austin - apparently that's confusing for them). She checked the darn box on the questionnaire so she can't figure out why she had to go to the courthouse to tell them that. Worse, it's the SECOND time it's happened! Oh well.

Okay, I think that's really it for news. Can you see why I don't update more often?!? ;)
