TGIF y'all!  Hope you've all had good weeks!  Ours was busy, as usual...

Last week, we finalized a deal that Richie has been working on for the past couple of weeks... we purchased a new (well, new to us) boat!  This one holds up to 7 adults and has a wakeboarding tower!  Woohoo!  It's still a jet boat and only a couple of feet longer than our old boat, so we think we'll be able to retain a lot of what we liked about that one AND enjoy the extra space in the new one.  Speaking of the old one, if you know anyone who might be interested in purchasing Knight Boat Type R - it's a GREAT little boat, perfect for beginning boaters, runs like a charm - please point them in our direction!  Thanks.

Last weekend, Lisa, Micah, Peter, Peter's friend Andy (visiting from Ireland), Micah's brother Zach, Chris and Viet came into town to hang out on the lake.  We had a fantastic day on the lake on Saturday, getting lots of good runs in as well as plenty of lounging on Lisa's dock.  We dropped by Brad and Amanda's campsite at Muleshoe around sundown to roast some s'mores - yum!   Then back up to the lakehouse where we grilled dinner and enjoyed a nice, relaxing evening.  (Pics are up on the pictures page.)

Sunday, Natalie had her first rehearsal with the Bat Girls.  She enjoyed getting to know the other girls and learning routines that she'll actually (gasp!) have the opportunity to perform.  The rest of the crew spent Sunday morning cleaning up and taking care of some maintenance at the lakehouse and managed to get a little more lake time in before it was time to head home.

This week, we've been busy trying to get the new boat and trailer all fixed up and running well.  Richie's turning into a master boat/trailer mechanic - you can tell by all the grease under his fingernails!  :)   We've been out on the lake a couple of evenings this week for testing purposes and everything seems to be running well!  Now all we need is a name for the boat... any suggestions?!?

And since it's July... we have LOTS of birthdays!

Happy Birthday to Brad (today), Austin (last Saturday), and Mom D  tomorrow!!  Also, to Courtney's daughter Andie who's celebrating her 2nd birthday this weekend!

That's it for now!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello out there and happy July!

Last weekend (plus Monday) we attended the annual Selph gathering at Concan, TX. One highlight this year was the newly renovated and expanded Neal's Cafe - too bad the expansion didn't seem to affect the speed of service - it was slow as molasses! I guess it's hill country time. But at least the food was just like we remembered it. :) The river was flowing nicely this year, so we were able to get in a good float trip for the first time in a couple of years. And as always, it was good to see everyone! Pictures will (hopefully) get posted sometime this week. Friday night we met some friends (mostly Richie's volleyball crew) at Huy and Benny's place for some socializing and an informal poker tourney.

Fourth of July weekend, we hosted Richie's family for Independence Day festivities, including some go-karting, a round of golf (and a couple trips to the driving range), a trip to Mount Bonnell, watching the neighborhood fireworks show from our roof, lighting fireworks with the kids, and of course, a big lake outing. Whew!

After everyone left Monday morning, we took a nap for a few hours (we were exhausted!!) and then went to go watch the Men's National Volleyball team (yeah, the ones that will play in the Olympics!) play Russia which turned out to be a great game - AND we won! Go USA! We also got to watch the Argentina/Tunisia match.

I think that gets us up to date...

Late Happy Birthday wishes go out to Stefani (July 10) and Happy Anniversary (today) to Dad B and Brigid!
